Isabelle and François bought the Manor in 2004 and spent a full year renewing and remodelling it. The most difficult part of the rehabilitation was to keep intact the old character of the Manor offering modern facilities. The Gauthron family, your hosts, have the feeling that they did a great job and are sure you will love the place as much as all the other guests who have already experimented their hospitality. This house as been originally built in 1308 by a Norman knight from, an old local family, related to William. The Manor stayed in the Guérin Family till the English confiscated it and then occupied the place. During the second period of the one Hundred Years War, the house was seriously damaged and rebuilt by the English knight who was living in this property, his signature being the staircase which twists counter clockwise instead of the French clockwise way.
